Easts Hockey Club has a proud tradition of representing the Eastern Suburbs and playing in the Sydney Hockey League for over 30 years.
We are a growing and social hockey club, competitive on all fronts, and have enjoyed great success across the Men’s and Women’s clubs over the past few seasons.
We are the go-to club for ex-pats in Sydney. Over the years we have welcomed players from the UK, Netherlands, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and South America, all mixed in with some local Aussies to create our unique culture. At Easts, we believe it’s that culture that differentiates us from other clubs, with players who like to play competitively and have some fun along the way.
Easts has teams across almost all Sydney grades, meaning we can compete at all levels. Whether you are looking to test yourself in the elite premier grades, or you just want to play for fun in the more casual grades, we will have a team for you.
We have our own pitch at Kyeemagh where we train and play home matches. This is supported by modern facilities, including a newly laid pitch, a fully stocked canteen and training equipment. We also have some great coaches for the Men’s and Women’s squads to help you develop your game and stay sharp.
Off the pitch, we have some great relationships with sponsors to help you get more out of your membership. Joining us means you will automatically become a member of Easts Leagues and all their associated venues. We also have a relationship with a brewery who stocks our canteen and host many of our socials, as well as a sports medicine clinic that offer a variety of services to help keep you fit and healthy.
Easts started as a social club, and over the years we have not lost the fundamental mantra of life coming first. We hold regular social events throughout the year, from casual drinks after gamedays to joint socials between the Men’s and Women’s clubs. The annual Easts Trivia Night, Pub Golf and Christmas in July are some particular highlights.
Easts take pride in being the landing spot for ex-pats looking to play hockey in Sydney, meet new people and have some fun. Being the club of the Eastern Suburbs, we have a close-knit community of players based around Bondi, Coogee and Paddington. So there are plenty of opportunities to connect off the pitch, whether you’re keen to try the pre-season sand runs, or just looking for a post-game drink.
